Redhill Food Centre at Block 85 and the wet market at Block 79 both close on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October 2026 for NEA's quarterly spring cleaning. If you eat there on weekdays, that is next week, not some vague "later this year" notice taped to a pillar.
Those two blocks sit on Redhill Lane, a short walk from Redhill MRT. The cooked-food building has 96 stalls. The market next door has 122 produce stalls and no cooked-food row of its own. They go dark together. That is the only south hawker pair still on NEA's list for the rest of October.
NEA publishes the dates as open data. Seth Lui's October roundup matches the same two Redhill days. The 8world clip from the January reopening is useful only as a reminder that this centre did three months of repairs at the end of 2025 and came back busy. Fook Ming Cooked Food and Wok Hey Hor Fun, both Michelin Bib Gourmand names, were in that queue. They will be shut those two days like everyone else.
Do not treat this as an islandwide dump. Clementi West and Toa Payoh have their own repair closures. This calendar is the south slice only. Tiong Bahru, Telok Blangah, Pasir Panjang, ABC Brickworks, Maxwell, Alexandra Village, Bukit Merah Central, Bukit Merah View.
Where to eat on 26 and 27 October
ABC Brickworks at Block 6 Jalan Bukit Merah is open those two days. Ninety-six cooked-food stalls and 48 market stalls, built in 1974, between Alexandra Village and IKEA. It already had its Q3 wash on 28 and 29 September. Next shut is 14 and 15 December.
Alexandra Village Food Centre at Block 120 Bukit Merah Lane is also open, 88 stalls, one day of cleaning on 21 December. Bukit Merah View at Block 115, 84 cooked-food stalls plus 98 market stalls, stays open until 28 and 29 December. If you came for 786 Char Kway Teow, that is the Henderson building, not Redhill Lane.
Tiong Bahru Market at 30 Seng Poh Road is open that Monday and Tuesday. Save the panic for 16 November.
16 November hits Tiong Bahru and Telok Blangah Drive on the same Monday
Tiong Bahru Market's Q4 wash is Monday 16 November 2026. NEA counts 83 cooked-food stalls upstairs and 259 market stalls downstairs. The wet market already takes most Mondays off. Cleaning that same Monday still kills the hawker floor. If you wanted Jian Bo shui kueh or Tiong Bahru fried kway teow that day, go somewhere else.
Telok Blangah Drive shuts the same date. Block 79 is the food centre, 40 stalls, across from Telok Blangah Community Centre. Block 82 is the market, 64 produce stalls. Both are dated 16 November only. Telok Blangah MRT is the obvious stop. Do not mix this up with Telok Blangah Crescent Block 11, which is a different building and a different week.
Pasir Panjang Food Centre at 121 Pasir Panjang Road closes Monday 23 November. Forty-five stalls, BBQ seafood and zi char, near the warehouses and Haw Par Villa MRT. One day.
December, in order
Zion Riverside at 70 Zion Road, 32 stalls opposite Great World, closes 2 and 3 December. That is the edge of this map, but the row is already in the south database.
Monday 14 December is messy. Maxwell Food Centre at 1 Kadayanallur Street closes that one day, 103 stalls, Tanjong Pagar MRT. ABC Brickworks closes 14 and 15 December. Telok Blangah Crescent Block 11 closes 14 to 16 December, 56 cooked-food stalls and 77 market stalls. If you live between HarbourFront and Tanjong Pagar, pick a kopitiam those three days or ride to Tiong Bahru, which is already done with its Q4 wash.
Alexandra Village takes Monday 21 December. Bukit Merah Central Food Centre at Block 163, 51 stalls, closes 26 and 27 December, the weekend after Christmas. Bukit Merah View closes 28 and 29 December. Plan the year-end Henderson breakfast before that, or after New Year.
Telok Blangah Rise Block 36, near Mount Faber, is still TBC for Q4. Block 112 Jalan Bukit Merah already closed on 5 October. That one is done.
Seah Im Food Centre, Depot Heights, Dawson Place and Lau Pa Sat do not appear on this NEA dataset. Those are not a free pass. Town councils handle some HDB centres on their own calendar. Check the notice on the shutter if that is your regular.
Clementi West Block 726 is in repairs until 27 December. That is west, not this page. Toa Payoh Lorong 7 is the other long repair. Ignore both when you are standing in Bukit Merah.
