Japanese-inspired hawker stall at Alexandra Village serving fish soup with fresh seafood and comforting broth.
SAKANA-NO-SUPPU is a hawker stall at Alexandra Village Food Centre offering a Japanese-inspired take on the popular Singapore fish soup. The name, which translates to "fish soup" in Japanese, hints at the stall''s approach: fresh fish slices in a clear, nourishing broth that draws on both local hawker tradition and Japanese sensibility for clean, umami-forward flavours.
The stall serves fish soup with sliced fish or fish head, accompanied by vegetables and rice or noodles, making for a wholesome, light meal that is especially popular with the health-conscious lunch crowd. The Japanese influence may come through in the precision of the cuts and the clarity of the broth.
If you want a bowl of fish soup that leans slightly Japanese in spirit while remaining firmly at home in a hawker centre, SAKANA-NO-SUPPU is a refreshing option. It is comfort in a bowl, with a subtle twist.

It was a filling and well balanced meal with veg and meat. We got the tori and ebi bagge udons and it comes with creamy sauce. Sauce can get quite jelak after a while. The prawns were pretty fresh and the chicken was tender and can taste the aburi.
