A lively Japanese izakaya on Tras Street pouring sake and serving small plates for after-work revelry.
A lively Japanese izakaya on Tras Street pouring sake and serving small plates for after-work revelry.
The Public Izakaya brings the spirit of a Tokyo drinking den to Tras Street, offering a convivial space where sake flows freely and small plates arrive in steady succession. The menu spans Japanese pub classics — yakitori, sashimi, agedashi tofu, and karaage — all designed for sharing over drinks. The ambience is warm and energetic, with wooden furnishings and dim lighting that set the mood for a long, leisurely evening.Based on 1326 Google reviews

A popular izakaya in tanjong pagar area. Quite crowded but they have a rly big seating area esp outdoors. So make a reservation if you want a seat indoors. Overall, food was not bad but can get a little oily if you order too many fried items! Oden soup is refillable :)

indoor seating is super choky with the smoke smell coming from the kitchen. You will leave the place with that smell on your clothes and hair. Recommend to sit outdoor even though there is no aircon. Personally, won't be visiting again. …
