I'm an old Tiong Bahru uncle. I find your video menu too fast for me to follow. Ha ha..I know u have paper menu near the cashier but....ha ha. I had your takeaway once only. Trying to figure out what's next ..but too slow to read. Take care. Best of luck. Just a comment from an old uncle 😂 …

Get the yakiniku unagi! It tastes so delicious with the furikake rice. The smoky flavor was strong. Truly sets it apart from the unagi don fron donki. …

Extremely disappointing experience at the Tiong Bahru outlet. The staff was rude and unprofessional. When I tried to check if my order was ready, one of them snapped, “Don’t touch the food.” That was completely unnecessary. I was only …

Ingredients looks fresh and clean. The store doesn’t have the musty smell even it’s a grilling style. Chicken looks fresh as well as the other protein. Staff are courteous too.

This is my opinion on the food. I ordered the stewed beef with Gobo rice, and added a small portion (maybe 5 pieces) of broccoli for $1.00. Total cost was $9.80. I think it's overpriced, an. it's more like I'm paying for nice packaging than decent nosh. The box comes sealed with a cover, and a slip on paper wrapping around the sides. Packaging-wise it is presentable. However, opening it, the colour of the food is really bland. The food is nothing to shout about either. Broth: If you find Sukiya's broth sweet, this is at least to me, 3 or 4 times sweeter. It doesn't taste savoury at all. Like eating wet Japonica rice soaked in very sweet sauce. I have never tasted sweeter stewed beef then here. However, the presence of a lot of salt is clear. Beef, tofu and veggies: The beef tasted pretty tough for a stewed meat. The braised tofu was a small piece that was just as sweet as the broth. The veggie serving was pretty disappointing, like a tiny sprinkle of Napa cabbage and onion. Together, the experience was disappointing. I need to rinse my mouth of the annoyingly sweet aftertaste. I honestly couldn't properly taste beef, tofu, broccoli, or onion under the overpowering taste of sugary broth. 10 minutes after finishing up, my lips and tongue feel dehydrated, suggesting that the salt content is high under the sugary taste.
